The Dragon Boat Performance System is your training partner that you can incorporate into your current activity as well as a performance reference for coaches.
It is designed by specialists and caters to all levels of Dragon Boat participation including:

You can incorporate elements of this system into your current activity or use it as the foundation of your training plan.
The System integrates all you need to achieve your goal and maximise your enjoyment including:
- Year round training plans
These plans coordinate your activity levels so that you build from each level to the next to be your best
- Aerobic (cardio) conditioning workouts
Do these by yourself in small groups or with the team; they build your aerobic capacity to complement your in boat training.
- Paddling workouts with specialised interval sets
Use the very latest training techniques that have been researched by our sports science leaders.
- Resistance workouts
Targeting the benefits of muscle endurance, strength and power specific to paddling; with full instructions and demonstrations in streaming video.
- Paddling technique via streaming video demonstrations*
Achieving the principles of proper technique will enhance your performance, enjoyment and satisfaction.
- Flexibility
Stretching routines to include in your workout mix. Maintaining flexibility is important as it assists the relaxation phase (recovery) of the paddling technique.
- Nutritional information
Information covering all areas of what your body needs to perform at its best (in and out of the boat); with and the ability to ask questions of qualified nutritionists.
- Exercise information
Information covering how and why exercising based on sports science prepares your fitness level to be your best (in and out of the boat); with the ability to ask questions of qualified exercise physiologists.
- Weight loss information
Information and direction on how to attain and maintain a healthy weight to optimise your sports performance health & wellbeing overall.
The workouts, information, direction and guidance are produced by a specialist team that includes PhD, Masters and Bachelor degree Sports Science and Nutritional specialists.
Additionally practical application of sports performance knowledge is enhanced by other team members who include 2 dual Olympians that have worked with some of the best conditioning personnel and coaches in the world.
