Nutritional Guidance

The food and drink you consume contains the nutrients your body needs to:

  • Maintain your bodily systems.
  • Provide energy for your daily activity.
  • Provide energy for your training and sport.
  • Provide nutrients to fuel the adaptations (improvements) your body undertakes in response to your training.

If you do not consistently achieve the proper nutritional intake some or all on the needs above will not be fulfilled.

Professional sports teams and elite athletes, like those in the Australian Institute of Sport are now taught how to achieve proper nutritional intake.
