As previously noted the sport of Dragon Boating is unique in the sporting world by virtue of:

• Having 22 in a crew
• The wide range of age groups
• The various categories of competition e.g. Mixed, Junior, Women’s, Grand Masters, etc.
• The various distances of races 200m to 2,000m
• The full range of competitive levels from club to world championships.

These combined factors provide for a difficult set of logistics to overcome.

Training effectively with such a large number of paddlers with varying lifestyles is problematic.

While the System delivers all that is needed to train individually, in small groups or as a team there is still the issue of effective coordination.

The Sport Performance Coordinator feature of the Dragon Boat Performance system is the management tool that ties the efforts of the individuals together to more effectively bring individual paddlers together as a team.

The Sport Performance Coordinator feature is a data base and communications management system in which you can create groups based on any parameter that you need so as to manage or coach the team to the targeted competitive objectives.

Nominated club personnel have access to the Club’s Sport Performance Control Panel for coordination purposes. By way of example you can use the system to:

• Group people together on any parameter you want e.g. different teams, position in boat, chosen competitive level, or use the predefined filters including age, gender, performance.
• Send emails with or without attachments to all or selected team members in seconds by selecting all or using the filters.
• View each individual’s workout performance versus the team’s objectives.
• Once you group team members those members can see each other in their Buddy System. Great for staying on track particularly for teams looking for results.

Staying on track

For motivation and teamwork you can view your activity level and those of your fellow paddlers.

When you are nominated in a group you can view your progress using the Buddy view in your Personal InfoLink.

 

Communication

The Coordinator system includes an email messaging system which includes personalisation features, multiple attachments and instant or time delay delivery.

You can email individuals, teams, or everyone in just minutes.
